Cummings V. Zuill Award - Our Pandemic Response

For everyone in Bermuda, these are strange times indeed. In the face of uncertainty for the third sector brought on by the global pandemic, the Cummings V. Zuill Leadership Award will be offering 100% support, up to $3000, for individuals seeking training in support of third sector programmes.

As we grapple with the impact of Covid-19 on the most needy in our society, the third sector has proudly risen to the challenge. Organisations are providing meals, counselling, safety from violence, transportation, shelter for the homeless and much more. However, these same organisations depend heavily on a small staff, charitable donations and a strong cadre of volunteers to carry out work which is necessary to hold together the fabric of our community. The socio-economic impact of Covid-19 is such that the ‘supply’ of these ‘components’ will become more scarce while the need for them will be greater.

Looking into the future, the Cummings V. Zuill Leadership Award recognises the third sector will be more impactful and effective with leaders who have strategic vision and can plan, organise and execute in a time of great transition and constant change.

Further, the Leadership Award is aware that individuals associated with the third sector, who have been furloughed or made redundant, can benefit from training opportunities that enhance an existing skill set or build new skill sets.

For a limited time, the Leadership Award is making available 100% “Covid-19” funding, up to $3000, for training and development. The application form contains the submission information. Apply Now!
